Food & Wine
Food and wine infect every part of my life. I look forward each week to the produce, cheeses and meats from our local farmer's market in Park Slope Brooklyn, or planning travels in the US and Europe around restaurants and wineries. There are those people who eat to live, but I am certainly of the group who live to eat.
Sustainable farm practices are one of the most important principles in today's farming. Natural and organic growing will greatly reduce poisons in our food and smaller family farms that produce fruits and vegetables on a seasonal basis. It's important that we all go back to the time when tomatoes are grown in the summer and apples in the fall. Trucking produce from other areas to try and satisfy those that want produce out of season is wasteful and wrong.
