Italy 2010
This year I traveled to Northern Italy to the provinces of Trentino and Alto Adige, Venteto, and Lombardy. We visited the towns of Trento, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Bolzano, Merano, Gardenia on Lake Guarda, and Bergamo. We spent many days in the beginning of the trip hiking through the Dolomite Mountains near Cortina d'Ampezzo Italy.
The culture in some of these regions of the norther part of Italy, known as the SudTirol, is heavily influenced by the previous rulers of the Hapsburg Empire of Austria and much of the time you feel like you are in Austria, not Italy.
