Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, is a critical factor in driving traffic to your site for the key search
engines, such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN (Live).
Optimizing every page on your site allows the search engine spiders to
read the content on your page, analyze the keywords, and assign a PageRank.
Once your site's pages have been optimized and spidered, the search engines can verify that your content is valid and matches the keywords and the pages
will then be included in the search engine indexes and returned in search engine result pages for the keywords which have been validated.
At the highest level if you use keywords such as "Financial Services", then you must have content on the page that backs up the keywords. This is to stop
keyword spammers who claim to have content about a subject and then go on to actually display content on an unrelated subject.
